Latest News affecting IWXXM-US products ======================================================================= Any changes to the schemas will be announced here in this file. In addition, the GitHub website for the IWXXM-US UML model https://github.com/NOAA-MDL/iwxxm-us-modelling can provide advance notice of any upcoming changes to the schemas by watching the Issues page at that URL. Official notification of significant changes--which are greater than bugfix releases--to IWXXM-US content and their implementation dates will be announced on the NWS Service Change Notice page. https://www.weather.gov/notification/ Subscribing to the NWS SCN list server will alert you to new SCNs when they are posted. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ======================================================================= Web site migration to a new machine was completed. The IWXXM-US schemas have not changed but have been compressed into ZIP and GZIP files to allow for easier downloads to your local machine. Included with the compressed files, a sample OASIS Catalog file is provided to allow for XML validation of IWXXM-US products using your local copy of the schema files. (4 April 2024) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ======================================================================= The upgrade of the server hosting these pages (as part of a much larger web farm) has been postponed, now scheduled to occur beginning late 2023 into early 2024. (24 July 2023) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ======================================================================= IWXXM-US schemas metarSpeci.xsd and common.xsd versions changed from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 to implement a bugfix. -- See https://github.com/NOAA-MDL/iwxxm-us-modelling/issues/5 for reasons why. All other IWXXM-US schemas are essentially unchanged and remain at version 3.0.0. Documentation blocks and elements' attributes have been rearranged due to updates to Python 3.10 and the XML module ElementTree which is used to get the IWXXM-US schemas in their final form. The transition will likely result in these web pages being unavailable for a period of time.
