The United States (US) Extensions package provides the constructs needed to support its<br/>variations and extensions to the ICAO models.<br/><br/>This package builds upon the ISO 19100 family and the International Civil Aviation Organization's<br/>(ICAO) Aviation Meteorological eXchange Model (IWXXM).<br/><br/>The US METAR extensions are documented in Federal Meteorological Handbook No. 1 (FMH-1),<br/>Surface Weather Observations and Reports and Air Force Manual 15-111. US AIRMET, SIGMET and<br/>TAF variations and extensions are documented in the National Weather Service Instruction (NWSI)<br/>10-811, 10-811 and 10-813 (AFMAN 15-124) respectively.<br/><br/>
