Summary:

Develop methods to systematically represent spatiotemporally-varying effects of significant terrain variation (such as mountains, coastlines, lakes, islands, etc.) into the mesoscale analysis such as RTMA1(-RU2)/URMA3/RUA4 based on science utilizing physics-based observation data quality control, modeling, downscaling, and/or data assimilation.
