GRANTS CALENDAR

Existing Awards

Existing grants performance periods direct reporting requirements. The performance period is from September 1 (Year of Award) to August 31 (Year of Award + 1)

Grant acceptance

On-line acceptance of grant offer via NOAA GrantsOnLine.

Within 15 days of grant award.

Semi-annual narrative progress report

Semi-Annual Narrative Progress Report
Period 1: 9/1 to 2/28 (or 29)
Period 2: 3/1 to 8/31
Repeat to end-of-grant

March 30 and September 30 each year of active grant

Semi-annual Financial Report (SF-425)

Federal Financial Report (SF-425)
Period 1: 9/1 to 9/30
Period 2: 10/1 to 3/31
Period 3: 4/1 to 9/30
Repeat periods 2&3 to end-of-grant

April 30 and October 30 each year of active grant. (Reporting periods may not be an even 6 months)

Satisfaction of Grant Special Award Conditions (SAC)

Memo or explanation of how an SAC was satisfied if an SAC were placed on a grant when awarded.

Date specified for delivery of an SAC is included in award.

Grant reprogramming

(See instructions)

Email to NWS Tsunami Program Office to determine whether informal or formal reprogramming is needed.

Within 30 days of knowledge of necessity to have to reprogram a grant. Not less than 30 days before grant expiration.

No-Cost Extension

(See Instructions)

Can only be requested for grants with a one-year performance period. A formal request with explanation is due to NWS Tsunami Program office then NOAA Grants Management Office.

No-cost extension request must first be sent to Tsunami Program Office at least 45 days before grant expiration.

If approved by this office, then formal request must be entered into NOAA GrantsOnLine 30 days or more before grant expiration.

Grant expiration -- no more work can be performed and charged to the grant

Final bills must be received and paid within 90 days of grant expiration.
